[Last updated on 20 January 2021]

This accessibility statement applies to content published on studio12.org.uk.

This website is run by Leeds Libraries. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
• change colours, contrast levels and fonts
• zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
• navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
• navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
• listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website aren’t fully accessible:

Technical information about this website’s accessibility

Studio 12 is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

Google maps
Google maps is used as a studio tour on our studio overview page. We are aware of a few technical issues with google maps such as links, buttons and images with no text. These issues will affect blind and deafblind users. The functionality is supplementary to the page and is not the main focus of the page. Google maps is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations because it is neither funded, developed by, or under the control of Leeds City Council.

Links must have discernible text
Some links across the site do not have discernible text. Most of these are content errors that we are actively working to resolve. The mobile menu button also has missing text.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We constantly review our site to maintain current and accurate information and to provide it in accessible ways. If you have any accessibility issues using our website please do not hesitate to contact us by emailing studio12@leeds.gov.uk.

Disproportionate burden

Not applicable.

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
