Where to find us:

Studio12 is part of Leeds Central Library. We’re located on the 1st floor (the Arts Floor) along the corridor with the Leeds Tapestry on the walls, between the Art Library and the Music Library.

Leeds Central Library is next to the Art Gallery on one side, and the Town Hall on the other. Our address is:

Library entrances:

The library has a few different entrances.

Our accessible entrance is on the lower ground floor, at the front of the building, facing onto Victoria Gardens. You can get to this door by going down the ramp behind the outdoor chess boards. Through here you can get to the lift, which will take you into the main building- press 1 to get to the Arts floor. There is also an accessible toilet on the lower ground floor.

Our main entrance also faces onto Victoria Gardens, and is next to the accessible entrance, but up a few steps. By entering the building here you will end up on the ground floor, next to the computer room, with another flight of stairs in front of you, and the lift to your right.

Our second entrance opens onto Calverley Street, round the side of the building that faces the Town Hall. This entrance has a flight of stairs, with a couple of sets of doors at the top, which open into the atrium. From here you will have the Central Lending department in front of you, and a flight of stairs to your left.

Finally, you can also get into the library by using the Art Gallery entrance next door, and then coming through the Tiled Hall cafe. From the cafe you can either go through a set of doors into the main lending library, or into the corridor next to the lift. Please bear in mind that this entrance is not open on Mondays.

Calverley Street entrance - doors are up a short flight of stairs. There is an open portcullis gate at the bottom of the stairs. The doors into the building are glass and one is propped open. Above the doors is a window, with the word "Welcome" written on it.
