Studio12 is a creative space based in Leeds Central Library that’s been supporting young people since 2003. Over the past 20+ years, we’ve helped thousands of young people from all kinds of backgrounds explore their creativity, learn new skills, and take steps toward careers in media and the arts.
We’ve run exciting, high profile projects that have helped people showcase their talents, get jobs, start businesses, go back into education, and achieve other amazing things. We’re proud to have built a reputation for spotting and nurturing the next generation of creative talent, especially among those who haven’t had access to traditional opportunities.
Studio12 is all about investing in the creative potential of 16–30-year-olds in Leeds. We offer free access to a fully equipped studio, hands-on training, and support from professionals working in the creative industries. Whether you’re into music, photography, video, or digital media, we’ve got the tools and guidance to help you bring your ideas to life.
As a member, you can build a personalised portfolio that reflects your skills and interests—something that’s really useful when applying for jobs or freelance work. And, if you’re thinking about starting your own business, we can connect you with expert advice through the Leeds Business and IP Centre.
To keep everything free for our members, we take on creative commissions and large-scale projects. These also give our members the chance to work on real-world projects, build experience, and add to their portfolios. Our work is regularly showcased at events, and we’re known for delivering high-quality, impactful projects.
